ABOUT US
Pamela and Steve Slavsky began dancing Argentine tango in 2000. They live in the Boston area where
they have been teaching since 2006. They have been invited to teach in communities around New England and have taught at festivals
as well as for a number of local universities. They have been teaching classes for the MIT Argentine Tango Club since 2007.
Pamela and Steve teach to promote tango’s unique charms
as a social dance, emphasizing natural movement, connection, and musicality. In their classes they strive to keep students
active and engaged in mind and body and promote learning through guidance as well as discovery. Their goal is to give students a foundation of skills rooted in traditional technique from which they can grow into versatile
and curious social dancers. They continue to grow as dancers and teachers
themselves through study, travel, and practice. Pamela also teaches the Alexander Technique and has taught social dance for over a decade. Steve is a tango DJ. They both enjoy long walks with their dog.
