CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginning Close Embrace Argentine Tango
For both absolute beginners to tango and any early level dancer looking for a solid introduction to dancing tango in close embrace. ***No prerequisites.

Advanced Beginner Argentine Tango
NEW material! More essential elements and technique are refined and developed, including methods for developing improvisational skills and musicality.
***Prerequisites: Open to those who have completed a beginner course in Argentine tango.

Beginning Argentine Tango
For absolute Beginners or early level dancers looking to review and refine important fundamental technique.***No prerequisites.

Intro to Milonga and Vals
An introduction to the distinctive rhythms, dynamics, and steps of these two companion dances to the tango. ***Prerequisites: Open to dancers who have completed a beginner course and started advanced beginner material in Argentine Tango, including some close embrace experience.

REGISTRATION
New Registration procedures: Please send email to psslavsky@gmail.com to preregister with the following information: Name, phone number, email, and tell us briefly what, if any, tango experience you have. Preregistration requested to save your space, but also accepted at first class if there is room.

DROP-IN POLICY
Drop-ins subject to instructors consideration. You are advised to check before hand unless sure you meet or exceed the class prerequisites and the following requirements (even for beginner classes): familiarity with the embrace, basic lead and follow concepts, walking in parallel and cross system, pivots, ochos, the molinete (also called the giro or turn), and the walk to the cross.
